Most countdown tools make a simple idea feel like filling out a form. Pick a date, choose a timezone, label every field, then spend ten minutes making it look presentable.

tick.to starts with the way people actually think: our wedding next June, 45 minutes, or Diwali in Ahmedabad. Type it however you say it and get a timer you can share.

How it works

Your first timer needs no account. The useful thing comes before the signup form.

Made for moments, not configuration

• Natural-language creation: Dates, durations, occasions, and timezones work the way you would say them
• Correct everywhere: Timers preserve what the date means, including real timezones and daylight-saving changes
• Beautiful by default: Art-directed templates give each moment a personality without requiring design skills

Why I built it

A countdown is rarely about four changing numbers. It is anticipation: a trip, a launch, a birthday, a deadline, something worth looking forward to.

I wanted the shortest possible path from thinking about that moment to having something beautiful enough to send someone.
